General School Advice

BE YOURSELF

Always be yourself no matter what other people think. In high school, people can be mean, and the best thing you can do for yourself is don’t let other people destroy who you truly are. 

STAY ORGANIZED

Staying organized significantly helps you to stay on top of your work and stay motivated throughout the school year! 

GET TO CLASS ON-TIME

By arriving to class on-time, it shows your teacher that you are responsible and ready to learn, and it also shows respect to you. 

BE KIND

Being a kind person is so important during any stage of your life. When you are kind, you will attract the right people for you, it will make other people feel good, and it will also make you feel good as you are spreading kindness and positivity. 

DO YOUR HOMEWORK

Doing your homework is key to getting good grades. By doing your homework, you will stay organized, it will help you understand the material, and it pays off in the future!

JOIN SPORTS + CLUBS

Joining sports and clubs in high school will make your high school experience so much better and unforgettable! By joining sports and clubs, you will be able to meet new people, learn new things, and gain so many incredible experiences.

Live in the moment and do the things that make YOU happy. High school goes by so fast, and it is so important to stay positive, surround yourself with kind people, work very hard, and to be yourself.

High school is full of new adventures and new beginnings. Try to enjoy every day because these years, friendships and memories are ones you will look back on in the future. It's okay if you don't have things figured out; that's what high school is for, finding who you truly are. Be kind and authentic, and don't be afraid to get help whenever you need it. Good Luck!!

It's harder to be as involved in your later years when the work load is more, so try new things in grade 9! Also make sure to take lots of pictures at every event to keep them for memories, and be respectful to everyone.

Get involved in whatever you can. You will meet new people with your same interests and have something fun associated with school!

Try to stay motivated and get your homework done. Make sure that you go in at lunch if you are struggling, some extra help from the teacher at lunch can make a world of difference. Lastly, get involved and don't forget that highschool is supposed to be fun! Be open to making new friends and join as many clubs or sports teams as you can/want to.

Be kind to everyone and find a positive trait in every person. Talk to new people as it's always nice to find a new group of people. Find a group of people that you trust and are people who make you feel good, but also be a friend to everyone and make others feel included. Prioritize your school work, show respect to your teachers, participate in school events, and don't feel like you need to hide who you are.
